As I rounded the corner off of Main st. in Gallery Row, I was immediately greeted by this awesome view of the building directly across from the Gallery. Covered with aerosol and wheat paste-ups, it was a sure sign that I was in the right place!

Red Bull EmSee Battles in Houston tonight

Big ups to 5th Gallery representers Zeale, Phranchyze, Japanese Jesus, and Dubb Sicks as they battle tonight in Houston at the EMSEE: Road to 8 Mile competition.

Bun B of UGK and 9th Wonder will be the judges. The 4 austin emcees were chosen as 8 mc's who will battle for a chance to get to the finals in Detroit where Eminem and Dr Dre will be judging the event.

Nike Sportswear True Colors USA x Mr Cartoon

here's a cool video of one of my favorite artists talking about the design he did for Nike Sportswear. He talks about his ideas and concepts for the logo design for the collection.

Mr Cartoon is awesome because he excels at tattoo, airbrushing, graffiti, apparel design, and in every video ive seen of him he seems like the most humble dude. Anyways--check out the video-its interesting.

Dalek: "Chaos on the Edge of Reason"

James Marshall – known as Dalek – will present a solo art exhibit with one 37-foot continuous wall mural, at the Hurley )( SPACE gallery in Costa Mesa, CA. The painting will be offered for sale by the foot and cut out and framed on demand during the opening. The opening reception will be from 7:00pm – 10:00pm on Wednesday, August 4th, 2010.

Austin Art: Print + Addiction x SMUT

Heres some pictures from last weeks Print + Addiction show at Industry Ink. Industry throws these cool art/show/parties that feature different artists who then offer their designs/art to be plotted on 8 different screens to provide choices for on the fly silk screen tees.
This show featured the work of street artist, SMUT and was sponsored/held down by the MadGods crew.
