Oxblood Music and Art Fest is an annual green, one night camping festival featuring local and nationally known musical acts and creative and inspirational art. From its roots as an underground celebration tucked away deep in the woods, to an overground event, it opens the eyes, ears, heart and minds of the diverse individuals that come to experience the music and art of Oxblood.

This years event will be held at Crossroads Festival Grounds. Located only 10 minutes from 6th street downtown, its a large, spacious ranch that has hundreds of acres of beautiful prairie land, rolling hills, old oaks and tranquil ponds.

Oxblood promotes an aura of creativeness, inspiration and beauty throughout the festival. Past years have been a vehicle for professional and amateur artist to display their art, sculptures, canvass works, large art installations, live graffiti, and not to mention the beautiful music. This years event will include live painters and visual artists, along side of many talented artists performing hip-hop, bluegrass, reggae, dub-step, electronic, jam and lots lots more!

Solar powered stages will be provided by Sustainable Waves which will power sounds from Nomad Sounds, and lighting from other local companies. With an emphasis on green and sustainable living. We will be working with Texas Disposal Services, TDS, will setup this as a green event by helping to eliminate trash and provide recycling services.
***THIS IS A LEAVE-NO-TRACE EVENT***
Please no trash on the ground, especially cigarettes.

This year we look forward to a group bicycle ride from a central Austin location to the festival grounds will promote healthier living and greener lifestyle.

Ditch the Fest 2010

Muggzy Flowz at Ditch the Fest

Ditch the Fest was an answer to all the ACL hype in Austin. This was like a fest for the home team...over 50 acts and free to all. While most acts were notable local acts such as Write Brothers, The Hi Tones, Zeale, and Death is Not a Joyride there were also national acts such as hip hop favorite Los Angeles' 2 MEX as well as an awesome band we caught called Free Moral Agents.
So For one day this East Austin dive bar turned into a music festival grounds complete with food carts serving chicken and waffles..and in taco form if you wanted, the festival also featured a photo booth, moonwalk for kids, and the awesome outside atmosphere. Big ups to Lucy The Poodle productions who are always furthering the local art and music scene in Austin . Kudos.
